Re: Jose Fonte
To be fair to Fonte he is used to playing with a couple of decent full backs and 2 defensive midfielders...

Re: Jose Fonte
I just some the highlights after watching the game last night through a haze of alcohol....Yep, he's shit alright, always a yard off the pace and always backtracking.

No we can't.

Re: Jose Fonte
Can we just recall Oxford and get him in the starting line up till the end of the season. It's painful watching Fonte knowing they've shelled out £8 mill for him.

Re: Jose Fonte
What was I saying about organisation on here the other day? Last minute of the game and every fucker charges up the pitch to try and score.
I'd expect someone with Fontes experience to have seen this and be screaming at people.

Re: Jose Fonte
Looked well off it yesterday. I don't think he is shit in general but at 33 he isn't going to improve in the next couple of seasons.

Seems a stupid signing, for me when both Collins and then kouyate could cover ogbonna. Before you even get to the Reeces.

There were other more urgent matters that didn't get addreses. Our transfer policy looks very muddled at the moment.

Stoneman - You have now become a comedy poster. As soon as anyone criticizes anything along you come right on cue. Comical.

I called it first 5 minutes of first game....and got slated.

A very, very poor player.

Re: Jose Fonte
Plays for Portugal so must be shit.

Some of you need to grow a pair and support the players not constantly look to criticise.

Re: Jose Fonte - Signed.
On turning down a chance to play in a cup final something tells me he really wanted to move to us to join a better team and experience a new ground and move on as a player

then again it could be to just enjoy good signing on fee.
We have been done again !

Another shit Bilic signing

Roll on the summer so we can get another £100m of shit. Surely he's got to sign one good player at some point?

Re: Jose Fonte
Piss Poor today ...Reid not much better...
Team set up all wrong by Bilic...
They dominsted/outnumbered us in MF...
Far quicker than us moving forward eleven they had the ball..
Happens many times against us...Bilic must be blind or stupid tactically not to see it...
We have the Crablike Feghouli and SlowCoach Noble...

Re: Jose Fonte
So did I until he first played for us. He was slow, awkward and lacked any passion, that is not just having a bad game, you can't fix those weaknesses, especailly at his age.

Re: Jose Fonte
I thought he'd be a decent signing...

I've been very wrong so far...

Private Dancer 4:25 Sun Mar 12
Re: Jose Fonte
A poor mans James Collins. Fucking useless, slow, without an ounce of passion coursing through his veins. He reminds me of Ken from Ken and Barbie...where are the cunts from back in this thread now who were slating the posters who didn't 'need time' to see how fucking shit he is. You've all gone very quiet.

Re: Jose Fonte - Signed.
Another important point about Chelsea this season is because they were not in the CL or EL and went out early in the League Cup they will end up only playing about 80% the number of games that their main competitors will.

Re: Jose Fonte - Signed.

Look, we can argue and moan about who was at fault for the goal all we like. It's going to change fuck all.

The fact of the matter is, whilst I don't think we played really bad, we just never looked like scoring. Chelsea knew this. They we're happy to sit back and bide their time, knowing that with the quality they have in abundance, they were most probably, going to score a couple - and let's be honest, they didn't have to get out of 2nd gear.

Our two main goal threats are Antonio & Carroll. One was suspended and the other was coming back for his first game in about a month - oh, and we don't have Payet anymore.

If we play Chelsea 10 times, we can at best, beat them 2 or 3 times and nick a couple of draws ( I'm being generous here ) . The rest of the time, we will be beaten comprehensively by them. I made a similar point with regards to the Man City game.

Chelsea have spent a ridiculous amount of money assembling a squad that is far superior to ours.

Until we spend the same amount we will always be in their shadow.

As much as we can take inspiration from what Leicester achieved last year - it was the exception and not the rule. Normal service has resumed for them this season.

Re: Jose Fonte - Signed.
lol like you've got somewhere to go.

so they were up for "knock downs" from a direct shot at goal?
or a quick return into the box from a direct shot at goal.

really??

Trevor B 5:23 Tue Mar 7
Re: Jose Fonte - Signed.
knock downs, looking for a quick return into the box, which they should have got. how come the manager hasn't said they were in the wrong when he was happy to criticise other errors? still, i don't expect you to understand that the manager thinks they did the right thing, especially seeing as you have lied about what he said and havent held your hands up to that even though the evidence has been provided.

as always goose you have shown yourself to be an utter fuckwit.

now, i really must go, so enjoy the rest of the day making up lies about our manager....
